Founded in 1983 by the late Chief B. O. Benson, SAN, B.O. Benson Law Office is a distinguished commercial law firm based in Lagos. For over four decades the Firm has provided sophisticated legal services to corporate organisations, financial institutions, multinational corporations, government agencies, investors and private clients.
Established on the principles of integrity, excellence and unwavering professional standards, the Firm has earned a reputation for strategic, commercially focused legal solutions across corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, infrastructure, mining, telecommunications, dispute resolution and regulatory advisory.

Founded by counsel of national standing
Chief B. O. Benson, SAN, founded the Firm in 1983 and built a practice renowned for sound legal judgment, professionalism and dedication to serving clients with distinction. He served the profession as General Secretary and later President of the Nigerian Bar Association, and as Chairman of the African Bar Association.
His vision laid the foundation for the Firm’s enduring reputation as a trusted adviser to businesses, financial institutions, government agencies, investors and private clients. That legacy of leadership at the Bar continues to shape how the Firm practises.

Confidentiality is fundamental to the Firm’s professional responsibility and to the trust clients place in it. Many of the matters entrusted to the Firm involve commercially sensitive information, strategic business decisions and privileged legal advice.
It is accordingly the Firm’s longstanding policy not to publicise or disclose details of clients’ transactions, disputes or engagements as marketing material or as a means of attracting new business. Its reputation should rest on the quality of its legal services and the enduring relationships built since 1983.
Where appropriate, and with a client’s express consent, the Firm may describe the nature of its experience in general terms without compromising confidentiality or revealing privileged information.
